Boston City Hall Plaza
Boston City Hall Plaza
OverUnder designed a comprehensive wayfinding system for Boston City Hall Plaza. Various sign types guide visitors through the renovated landscape by Sasaki. A large framework structure mounts to the building’s brick volumes and houses changing arts exhibitions and welcoming texts in twenty languages. The character, forms, and material robustness of the signs represent a nod to the philosophy behind the site’s modernist concrete architecture, echoing the paired fins on the upper levels.
