Belmont Hill School

Belmont Hill School

Belmont Hill School, a revered all boys' independent school, had no signs for most of its 100+ years of existence — and that goes for both building identification and general wayfinding. As was custom, a new visitor would be welcomed by one of the students and personally escorted around the campus. So it's not much of a surprise that that custom had fallen by the wayside, and the campus's lack of signage became an unfriendly vestige.

Reed Hilderbrand developed the school's new campus master plan and implemented a Phase 1 expansion, inviting OverUnder to develop a family of campus wayfinding signs for pedestrians and drivers. Modestly-scaled wayfinders utilize both powder-coated aluminum and laser-engraved white oak to offer directional information and illustrations of key buildings.
