This new sixty four hectare logistics park near the port of Jeddah—Saudi Arabia’s largest shipping gateway—is designed to offer a new standard for the city’s wholesale food industry, with visually striking architecture, effective circulations routes that distinguish deliveries from clients, maximized floor areas, and measures that are simultaneously sustainable and cost-efficient.
The concept master plan is designed to address two possible scenarios: one focuses only on warehouses, the other includes a shopping center that caters to the food-related sector (flatware, kitchen accessories, pots and pans, etc). In both cases, the project has been carefully coordinated to balance business logics, utilities, and urban design concerns to ensure that the phasing is both rational and flexible, while creating an urban environment that is pleasant, sustainable, and memorable.
