The Watt d’Or is awarded annually by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy to recognize Switzerland’s best energy projects. OverUnder was commissioned by Swissnex Boston to design a publication and exhibition displaying the winning projects. Originating in Boston and then traveling nationally, the exhibition was conceived to spur dialogue and establish collaborations with key players in academia, the public sector, and private industry. The modest and industrially produced OSB (particle board using recycled wood strands) and aluminum channels complement the award’s focus on sustainability and building assemblies. Metal frames display images and information about the twenty-five winning projects, while wood platforms showcase the more human-scaled objects. The entire system can be disassembled easily to travel and adapt to new settings.

The exhibition was also featured at the Wisconsin Energy Institute in Madison.
