Trained as a graphic designer, Shannon McLean also has expertise in information architecture, programming, and systems, both physical and digital. She is adept in making large sets of data legible and accessible, as demonstrated in her work for Imagine Boston 2030.
Shannon has also been crucial to wayfinding design projects for the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning, and several departments at Harvard University, including the Graduate School of Design, iLab, and HUIT. At the GSD, she facilitated an on-campus workshop, a critical component to Shannon’s user-centered approach to design.
